Family Vacations

FAMILY VACATIONS

Actually Agree On

Vacations your whole family will

From multi-generational cruises to all-inclusive family resorts, I build trips where the kids stay entertained, the grandparents stay comfortable, and the parents actually get a vacation too.

FAMILY TRAVEL

Vacations Everyone
Actually Enjoys

Family trips fail for one reason more than any other: they get built around one person's idea of a perfect vacation instead of the whole group's. A toddler, a teenager, and a grandparent don't want the same pace, the same activities, or the same bedtime — and a trip that ignores that shows up fast, usually around day three.

"The best family trips aren't the ones everyone tolerates — they're the ones everyone still talks about years later."

I've spent years working aboard ships surrounded by families of every shape — toddlers on their first cruise, teenagers dragged along reluctantly, three generations sharing one itinerary. I've seen firsthand what actually keeps everyone happy at the same time, and what looks good in a brochure but falls apart the moment real kids and real grandparents are involved.

Before I recommend a ship or a resort, I ask about ages, energy levels, mobility, and what "relaxing" actually means to your family.

The plan comes second — understanding your family comes first.

EVERY FAMILY IS DIFFERENT

Trips Built Around
Your Family

Young Families

Kids' clubs, splash zones, and pacing that doesn't wear anyone out before lunch.  I build itineraries around nap schedules, not against them.

Multi-Generational

Getting three generations onto one itinerary that works for everyone's mobility, energy, and interests takes real planning - it's one of my favourite challenges.

Families with Teens

Independence, adventure, and Wi-Fi that actually works.  I know which ships and resorts keep teens genuinely entertained instead of bored by day three.

Blended Families

News in-laws, new siblings, new dynamics.  I plan trips with enough shared time to bond and enough separate space that nobody's on top of each other all week.

Reunions & Milestones

Big birthdays, anniversaries, or the first family trip together in years.  I coordinate the logistics for the whole group so you can just show up and enjoy every moment.

Parents Travelling Solo With Kids

Extra support matters when you're the only adult on deck.  I choose ships and resorts with strong kids' programming and staff who genuinely have your back.

FAMILY CRUISING

Unpack Once.
Everyone's Entertained.

Cruising takes the pressure off family travel in a way almost nothing else does. Kids' and teens' clubs run all day, supervised by staff who do this for a living. Dining venues suit every palate, from picky eaters to adventurous ones. And there's a full itinerary of ports and onboard activities without a single group text needed to coordinate any of it.

The trick is matching the right ship to your family's actual composition, a line built for toddlers isn't the same one that'll keep a table of teenagers engaged, and a ship designed for multi-generational groups looks different from both. Get the ship right and the trip plans itself.

I'll walk you through connecting staterooms, family suites, and which lines genuinely deliver on their "family-friendly" branding versus which ones just say it on the website.

FAMILY CRUISE LINES

Finding the Right
Ship for Your Family

Not every "family-friendly" cruise line means the same thing. Here's how I break them down by who they actually suit best.

BEST FOR YOUNG KIDS

Character experiences · Splash zones · Nursery-age programming

Disney Cruise Lines

CHARACTER-DRIVEN MAGIC

The gold standard for young families. Age-specific kids' clubs, character dining, and nursery care for the smallest travellers mean parents can genuinely relax while kids are cared for by people who specialize in exactly this age group.

Royal Caribbean

BIG SHIPS, BIGGER FUN

Waterparks, splash zones, and some of the most extensive kids' programming at sea. Their newest ships are essentially floating resorts built with young families in mind, from toddlers through tweens.

Carnival Cruise Line

FUN, ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE

A relaxed, playful atmosphere with strong kids' club programming at a more accessible price point. A great entry into family cruising for first-timers who want the essentials done well without the premium price tag.

BEST FOR MULTIGENERATIONAL GROUPS

Comfortable pacing · Varied dining · Something for every age

Princess Cruises

VERSATILE & APPROACHABLE

Strong itinerary variety and a genuinely broad appeal make Princess an excellent choice when you're trying to please grandparents, parents, and grandkids on the same sailing. Sophisticated enough for the adults, relaxed enough for everyone else.

Holland America

CLASSIC & COMFORTABLE

A calmer onboard atmosphere with rich enrichment programming that keeps grandparents engaged, alongside solid kids' club offerings for the younger set. A wonderful middle ground for groups spanning several generations.

Celebrity Cruises

ELEVATED, STILL FAMILY-FRIENDLY

Beautifully designed ships and outstanding dining that satisfy adults, with genuinely good kids' and teens' programming layered in. A strong pick for multi-gen groups who don't want to sacrifice a polished experience.

BEST FOR TEENS & ACTIVE FAMILIES

Adventure activities · Teen lounges · Real independence

Norwegian Cruise Line

FREESTYLE & FLEXIBLE

Freestyle cruising means no fixed dining times or dress codes, ideal for teens who chafe at structure. Rock climbing walls, go-kart tracks, and laser tag give older kids something to actually do besides sit by the pool.

MSC Cruises

EUROPEAN FLAIR, BIG ENERGY

Expansive ships with waterparks, F1 simulators, and dedicated teen zones. A strong choice for active families who want a European sensibility with plenty of adrenaline built in.

Not Sure Which Line?

I'LL HELP YOU DECIDE

The right cruise line depends entirely on your family's ages, energy, and what "a good trip" means to each of you. Tell me about your crew and I'll tell you which ship actually fits.

FAMILY RESORTS

All-Inclusive,
All Ages

A resort stay where nobody has to choose between relaxing and keeping the kids busy. The right all-inclusive property gives kids a genuine kids' club, gives teens their own space, and gives parents a quiet pool and a cocktail without anyone feeling shortchanged.

"A great family resort doesn't just entertain the kids — it gives the parents a vacation too."

The trick is knowing which resorts actually deliver on that promise versus which ones market themselves as family-friendly but really just tolerate children. I match families to properties with the right mix of programming, room configuration, and pace, so everyone, including you, comes home rested.

FAMILY RESORT BRANDS

Matched to Your
Family's Pace

All-inclusive doesn't mean one-size-fits-all. Here's how I categorize the family resort brands I work with most.

BEST FOR YOUNG KIDS

Character partnerships · Splash parks · Dedicated kids' clubs

Beaches Resorts

PURPOSE-BUILT FOR FAMILIES

Built from the ground up for families — water parks, Sesame Street character breakfasts, and some of the most extensive kids' club programming in the Caribbean. About as close to a guaranteed win for young kids as an all-inclusive gets.

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts

SLIME, SPLASH & CHARACTERS

Character meet-and-greets, themed suites, and a genuinely playful atmosphere kids love. Punta Cana and Riviera Maya properties are particular standouts for families with younger children.

Grand Palladium Family Selection

KIDS CLUB FOCUSED

Dedicated family sections within larger resort complexes, with strong kids' club hours and family pools separate from the adult-focused areas. A reliable, well-rounded choice.

BEST FOR MULTIGENERATIONAL GROUPS

Varied room types · Multiple pools · Something for every generation

RIU Hotels & Resorts

CONSISTENT & SPACIOUS

Large, well-run properties with a wide range of room configurations, making it easier to book connecting or nearby rooms for bigger groups spanning several generations. Reliable quality across every property.

Occidental by Barcelo

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Distinct pool zones, dining venues, and activity programming mean grandparents, parents, and grandkids can each find their own rhythm without anyone feeling left out.

Iberostar Selection

ELEVATED, STILL FAMILY-READY

A slightly more upscale all-inclusive experience with strong kids' club hours and enough quiet adult spaces that the whole group, from toddlers to grandparents, genuinely relaxes.

BEST FOR TEENS & ACTIVE FAMILIES

Watersports · Teen clubs · High-energy activities

Club Med

ACTIVITY-FIRST PHILOSOPHY

Circus school, watersports, and organized activities all day mean teens genuinely have something to do beyond the pool. Club Med's activity-first culture is one of the best fits for active families anywhere in the all-inclusive space.

Hard Rock Hotels (All-Inclusive)

MUSIC, ENERGY, TEEN APPEAL

Dedicated teen clubs, water parks, and a livelier overall energy that appeals to older kids who'd otherwise be bored at a quieter property. A strong pick for families with a mix of younger and teenage kids.
